Iconography
Deprecated Stablecoin or All Instances Deprecated
This icon indicates that the entire stablecoin has been deprecated, or that all of its instances on various chains are deprecated.
Partially Deprecated Stablecoin
This icon signifies that one or more, but not all, instances of the stablecoin on different chains have been deprecated. It also marks a single deprecated instance in the chain-specific breakdown.
Bridged Instance
This icon indicates that the stablecoin instance is a bridged asset. These assets are excluded from certain roll-up metrics to avoid double-counting.
Excluded from Industry Totals
This icon indicates that the stablecoin has been excluded from all industry-wide aggregations. While the stablecoin remains visible with its individual metrics, its supply, volume, and transfer data are not included in top-level totals, chain-level aggregations, or market cap charts.
Calculations
In our data aggregation process, we calculate metrics for all stablecoin instances, including those marked as 'deprecated'. However, it's important to note that the data from these deprecated instances is not included in the rolled-up, industry-wide statistics. This ensures that our overall industry metrics accurately reflect the current, active stablecoin landscape, while still providing accessible historical data for individual, deprecated assets.
Bridged assets with the Lock and Mint methodology are handled similarly to deprecated instances in our calculations. While their individual metrics are available, they are excluded from the main roll-up metrics for totalSupply, mints, and burns to prevent double-counting across different blockchain networks. This approach ensures that our industry-wide statistics provide a more accurate representation of the stablecoin market.
Certain stablecoins may be manually excluded from all industry-wide aggregations and totals. These exclusions are applied at the stablecoin level (across all chains) and affect all metrics including supply, volume, transfers, mints, and burns. Excluded stablecoins remain fully visible in the industry summary table with their complete metrics, but do not contribute to overview statistics, market cap charts, or chain/currency distribution charts. Each excluded stablecoin includes a reason for its exclusion, which can be viewed by hovering over the exclusion indicator.
